Why Environmental Monitoring is Necessary
We are all aware of the global environmental issues, all of which are caused by human beings. For humans to survive longer, environmental protection is required; hence, monitoring is essential. If you could inform us of the specific problems in your industry, we would be able to focus on them. Additionally, if your company manufactures any products, you must have obtained consent from the Local Pollution Control Board. It is important to adhere to these conditions as they are legal requirements.
Frequency
The frequency is also specified in the consents issued by Pollution Control Boards. However, environmental monitoring can be divided into the following categories:
- Water Pollution
- Air Pollution
- Soil Pollution
According to the Environment Protection Act, the frequency specified is REGULARLY. Many industries conduct monitoring on a monthly basis. Once again, if you require specific assistance, please provide more details on the issues you are facing.
Thanks & Regards,

Mr. Sudhir clearly suggested why environmental monitoring is a must. To comply with the conditions and prescribed limits of CC&A (Consolidated Consent & Authorization), environmental monitoring is necessary.
As per the MOEF Delhi notification, the company must measure ambient air quality twice a week at each station. This is a legal requirement under the Factory Act 1948 and the Gujarat Factory Act Rule 1963, specifically Form No. 37 for workplace monitoring.
To comply with the environmental audit report as per High Court guidelines, ambient air monitoring, stack monitoring, hazardous waste analysis, and water analysis must be conducted on a monthly basis.

Dear All, so far, great discussion. Thanks a lot for participating and sharing your knowledge. I have a small doubt and would appreciate it if you could provide your expertise to help me understand the concept clearly.
Difference Between PM10, PM2.5, and Particulate Matter (SPM)
What is the difference between PM10, PM2.5, and Particulate Matter (SPM)? Why should we conduct different monitoring for these parameters?
If any of the readings for PM10, PM2.5, or SPM are high, what control measures should we implement?
Thank you.
