Hello dear seniors,

I am Vinaya Kumar, and I would like clarification regarding PF. If a person has been working in a company for the last 3 years and now wishes to move to another company, can they apply for their PF money? Please explain what the age limit is to access PF and how to go about getting it.

Thank you.

Dear Vinaya,

He is eligible for withdrawing his PF amount unless he completes his relieving formalities and does not have any clearance or dues to the employer. For claiming PF, some formalities from the employer need to be done.

Dear Vinay,

The employee is eligible to withdraw his EPF amount until he is retired from the job. There are two forms, Form 10C and Form 19, for EPF and EPS withdrawal. Since, in your case, he has worked for 3 years, he is eligible for EPF only. Submit the duly filled forms along with his bank details to your regional office. It will be settled within 45 days. Best advice him to transfer his PF account so that in the long run, he can get the pension benefit.

Dear Mr. Vinay,

I would like to clarify the following points:

1. He can be eligible for withdrawing his PF.
2. We need to obtain Form 10C and Form 19 from the employee.
3. The management has to forward the forms to the concerned EPF Office.
4. If the management refuses to forward the application, he may still access his PF through a different approach.
5. There is no age limit for withdrawing the PF amount.

I am totally in agreement with Mr. Reddi.

1. There is no time limit for PF withdrawal; you can do it at any time.
2. You can withdraw the PF without the company's formalities as well.
3. Since you have served for 3 years, you are eligible for the entire PF amount.

Dear Vinay,

If PF is available in the new company, ask him to transfer the account to his new PF account. Alternatively, if he prefers to withdraw his funds, he can do so through Form 19 & 10C (EPF & EPS). Since he has only completed 3 years, he is eligible to withdraw the full amount.

Dear Mr. Ramesh,

These are the features of the Gratuity:

1. One should work for a minimum of 5 years in an organization.
2. If an employee dies during employment, no minimum period of service is required.
3. Normally, the company will calculate 15 days' wage for every completed year based on basic pay + DA.

Gratuity is a social security benefit provided by the employer as a token of appreciation for the employee's loyalty and dedication.

Dear Sudhir,

There is no limit for withdrawing PF. An employee can get their PF due in case of separation from a job. However, they can get a loan if they have completed 5 years of employment. To withdraw PF, you need to fill out Form-19 and Form-10C and have them signed by an authorized person under PF. Within 45 days, your PF due will be transferred to your bank via cheque.

I hope this information is clear.

Dear all,

For claiming PF & EPS, there is no age limit. Before filling the Form 19 & 10C, kindly ensure if the individual has continuously accumulated the PF fund for more than 10 years, i.e., they may carry forward the earlier account with your company. If they continuously have the account, they cannot withdraw the EPS fund.

Regarding gratuity, an employee who has continuously worked in an organization for 4 years, 8 months, and 18 days is eligible for gratuity. In the case of termination or death while in service, gratuity is applicable for the years served without any ceiling.

Hope this is clear.

You are eligible to withdraw PF, but you have the necessity where you were working earlier. You are eligible for the withdrawal of PF after resigning. You are required to receive Form 10C and Form 19 from the employee. Upon receipt of the forms, you must forward the copies to the concerned EPF Office. There is no age limit for the withdrawal of PF.

There is no such limit. The minimum age and maximum age are the only criteria. Only age is considered when it comes to retirement or death. You can easily transfer the balance to your next employer's enrollment by submitting a simple application, mentioning your P.F. Index Number. For other reasons, please refer to the Central Govt. P.F. Rules booklet or apply using the specific form for the withdrawal of P.F. However, you have not mentioned where you were working.

Dear All,

I am in agreement with your comments on employees withdrawing their EPF after leaving a previous company and joining a new one. However, I would like to inform you that this is incorrect as per the EPF & MP Act 1952. Why? Because the EPF is an Employees Provident Fund, functioning as an "Employees Future Organization," not a savings bank account.

Therefore, I kindly request everyone to transfer their EPF instead of making a withdrawal.
