AIRS certification is a standard in internet recruitment sourcing. It has significant brand value in the United States and Europe; however, it is also gaining momentum in India. AIRS is a company now owned by RightThing, which is a training organization for sourcing. It also has a lab for innovating new techniques and technologies in internet sourcing. AIRS provides online training and certification for recruiters worldwide. These sourcing techniques and tricks are what set individuals apart from the typical recruitment methods.
I have been trained in these techniques but do not yet have the certification (I am yet to apply). I would love to get associated with them. If you have a passion for internet sourcing, go for it.
