I have seen all this in this wonderful movie.

No, Ravi. The movie is not trying to portray suicide as a solution. If you choose that path, you will undoubtedly lose something. The character committed suicide because he did not receive an extension for the project he was working on. Let me outline what he lost:
1) Success - If he had worked diligently and with full dedication, there was a possibility of achieving success. As you may have observed, Amir Khan's character completed the project the student was working on. If one person can succeed, so can another. The key was to believe in oneself.
2) Happiness - By resorting to suicide, we only transfer sadness to our loved ones, especially our parents. By striving and persevering, we might generate new ideas to tackle projects that initially seem like failures. Trust me, our parents would be happiest seeing our commitment to our endeavors.
P.S. The movie also depicts many other valuable lessons. I urge you to focus on the positives rather than fixating on the negatives immediately.
