My previous post on this subject was on the theme of the movie three idiots but this one is on the movie itself. This article has some relevant extracts from the book your soul at work and <link no longer exists - removed> on the main theme of following one'heart. The article reports the success of famous Indian and foreign dropouts some of whom followed their passion. It also reports the difference in knowing and following your passion and the significance of the hilarious chamatkar-balatkar speech in reel and real life. Last but not the least , the article gives insights from the lives of former Lintas chairman Alyque Padamsee and Sachin Tendulkar on the practical side of pursuing commercial success in addition to following one's passion.
Apart from some of the websites mentioned in the article, there are sites like ReCareer Inc. Career Coach Certification Program or RebootYou.com . I wonder why such sites are not there is India or is India immune to mid life crisis/career transition ?. For young people the book “Achieving a Dream Career” by Morgan and Banks should be very interesting. Morgan and Banks was taken over by monster.com sometime in the late nineties.
The attached pdf has the article which was published in Management compass in February 2010.

I wish you all the best with your BBA. Many people come to know what they really want to do only when they start working, as that determines their real working identity, which can be deceptive. The book "Your Soul at Work" even says that only when you cut out all the external noise, you can know what your real vocation or calling is, which is why "Silent Soul" is a very interesting name. Good luck.
