I have a doubt. I resigned from the company on the 1st of a month, but the company had a notice period of 3 months which, as anyone can think, is too much time. Anyways, I served only one month's notice period and left the company. I didn't receive any relieving letter from the company. I also had a discussion with the management on this and was also ready for a buyout, but the company did not budge. Now, as an employee, what should I do?
Terms and Conditions as mentioned in the appointment letter:
1) The employee has to serve a minimum of 3 months of notice period.
2) In case of absence for more than 3 days without informing the company, the company will treat it as a case of absconding. Once this is done, the employee has to pay the basic salary for the notice period if he/she wants the experience/relieving letters.
My question is, I was unable to serve the whole notice period but only one month. In this case, how can I go for the relieving letter from my previous company?

Hi Robs,
Please discuss your company policy as per your appointment letter. Otherwise, you have to serve the notice period of three months. In lieu of the notice period, you can pay three months' salary as a loss borne by the company to obtain your relieving certificates. Alternatively, this matter can be mutually resolved between you and the management.
