Dear seniors,
Can you enlighten me on the exact difference between a Skill Matrix and a Competency Matrix? Are they one and the same? If possible, please clarify my doubt with examples of the format for each.

Both are different. Skill is something that we can see the result of. However, competency is the one that lies inside us. It encompasses our skills, knowledge, motives, attitudes, etc., which are not visible. Competency acts like muscular power to the body. Just imagine the relationship between the brain and muscular power in our body. The brain is like a skill, and our muscular power executes things by following the brain's instructions. Therefore, competency is an additional power for achieving superior performance. Skill is a learned ability over time. Both have a very close interrelationship.
