Hello Can any one please inform me how to take admission in PhD program of any IIT /IIM?Is there any entrance exam?What can be the average cost?

If you are under the impression that this will fetch a job for you, then you are in the paradise of people with your comfortable thinking and shortcut minds. There is no qualification that works for any employee or professional because it's only a certification of your completion of an academic curriculum designed to become a graduate. After that, you have to compete in the market and prove yourself as material. This bluffing of name, fame, brand - all are high society gossips that have no place in real life.
None of the graduates from IIM or IIT has ever been nominated for a Nobel Prize or invented anything to be recognized as the world's elite or a super brain cultivating factory. You are wasting your mind on unnecessary ideas of immature fashionable thoughts. The market responds to the material and not your life's agenda.
