Hi,
Normally even in case of misconduct proper disciplinary process to be followed including Domestic enquiry and fair opportunity should be given to employee to defend and represent his arguments. Just mere telephonic update that you were terminated is not valid. Normally no CEO of any Company will involve in such process and will not call an employee in Branch level. It reveals the unprofessionalism of the Company. As they had terminated you in 9 days from your date of joining I suggest you to ignore this look for a better offer. In case of no PF deduction better remove this company data from your profile.
However if you want to challenge them legally first of all check your Appointment Order ( if issued to you on your joining date) and look for separation clause in it. If haven't involved any misconduct or didn't violated any rules and regulations of the Company then you may file a complaint with Labour officer of your office jurisdiction. If your nature of work is supervisory you can file a Civil suit.
