HI Jyothi
I have myself gone through the same problem some time back.
This is what i did....
1. U have the updated forms so nw u need to get the data base ready as per the data...
2. thn u should have the frequency of responses (Rank 1-5: 1 being highly dissatisfed and 5 being highly dissatisfied) against each ques.
eg. Ques : r u satisfied with xyz....thn u have a data like
rank 1 : 10 responses
rank 2 : 25 responses
etc etc....
now as a first step just prepare the bar and pie charts for the data collected to have an idea for deptt wise, region wise, response wise and question wise and also the overall satisfaction index...
I Hope i have not confused u :)
anyways start with the process and do get back to me 4 any guidance..
tk care

Hello,
Priyanka has rightly explained to you the process of analyzing the data.
It may be useful to introspect what kind of answers we are looking for.
For example "Do we want to understand How satisfied are our employees with their salaries?" Or " Do employees feel that they are cared for?" or " Do they feel that the organization provides learning and developmental opportunities?" etc.
If we are clear about our objective we can design the questions for the survey. Now since that stage is already over for you- still you can think about what exactly you want to know from this survey?
This will help you decide the approach for analysis. When you prepare report which is meaningful to the management ,it will help them (as also you as member of HR team) to formulate an action plan.
Too much of data analysis with no logical conclusion will only be waste of time. So based on your understanding select relevant items for analysis and report.

Hello
Very interesting phenomena
You have got your questionnaire ready You did not ask for help
You have got it filled and your boss says he cant help you!!
First observation
No training climate in the organisation.
Use simple statistical tools like average, frequency, standard deviation in analysing data.
Use age wise category wise, departmentwise qualificationwise, years of experiencewise analysis.
Standard statistical tools are available in xl itself and you can useSiva

hi,
See if your HR head is not cooperting then its ok. The reason could be that you will be able to create something and learn from the procedure. Employees servey is basically carried out to access the company's policies and practices whether the employee is aware of these policies or practices.
Just segregate your survey into various heads like work culture, job responsibilities, are employee aware of succession policy, Quality standards.
You can then analyse them on bar scale to reach any conculsion and give your recommendations.
The work culture or HR activities initiated ot HR practicies followed by you company will help you under these surveys better.

hello jothi...
i think the most important thing of a project is its questionnaire preraration. and when your questionnaie and its filling process is over then your project is half the done... now wat abt the rest half ????
for that your table of contents wil say it all.
your table of contents will include -
1. intro abt the company
2. intro abtemployee satisfaction
3. review literature
4.research done by othr scholars on the same topic
5.study objectives, methodology and study area.
6.results, discussions and graphs
7.suggestions
8.limitations
9.conclusion
10.refernces
11. annexure ( questionnaire )
your objectives , results and conclusion wil be inter related2 each other....
suppose ur objectives are -
--To identify variables which have a significant impact on the satisfaction level of employees.
--To make plan to induce greater satisfaction.
--To identify prominent areas of dissatisfaction among the employees.
--To suggest measures for inducing greater satisfaction in above-mentioned areas.
now u can conclude very well by seeing thru the results wich are the satisfing elements in the job and wich are not... also wat are the reasons of dissatisfaction..
for more info, u can mail me at
