Hi All
I would also like to add on one more point regarding salary, though its an MBA-hr, some students get into job consultancies or companies to do only recruitment. When they apply in bigger companies, they often get rejected because they absolutely have no knowledge in Salary, Performance Appraisal, Training, Grievance handling etc.. So its not only the degree that matters, your experience in various fields in HR also matters.

Dear i am not a HR person but as per my experience and knowledgw Group/company is most impotent if you joind a good company in lower CTC no problem it will compenset in future in same company or if you switch off to other company also get a handsome CTC because you have a address of good organisation, So as this is your starting first you should think about a good organisation rather than CTC.

Dear Sender
Please bear in mind that unless you attain knowledge and experience,
no organisation will pay you more than the industrial standard for the
position for which you have been appointed. For a fresher or upto 1
year of experience, salary will be in the range of 1 to 2.5 lacs.
(exceptions are there, which are not to be considered at this point of
time.)
Stay in the same organisation for couple of years ( say 3 to 5 years minimum)
learn as much as possible in all areas, then you will be paid more when
you opt for a change of job.
All the best.

Dear Seniors,
I am Parasuram, working as an Associate Test Lead in Functional Test Automation in a private concern in chennai for the past 4 years. I have very strong knowledge in QTP 11.0 and QC 10.0. I have been actively involved in planning, estimation and proposal writings for the automation engagements for clients across globe for the past 2 years. In addition to QTP, I am very confident on certain other leading functional testing tools like Selenium, RFT and Test Complete. I have done some PoCs (Proof of Concepts) before the actual engagement kicks off. So, I am more like the face of our company for the client. I handle onsite and offshore teams. With my qualifications, what is the current CTC I can expect in the market>
