Hi,
To minimize late comings you can ask the employees to come to office before shift timings. We have fixed shift starting from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm. If an employee coming to office after 11:00 AM is marked as LATE and following is the policy for late comings:
• Late of 2 days upto 11:30 AM are allowed in a month, and in case employee comes late more then 2 times then for 2 late comings ½ day’s leaves/salary of the employee shall be deducted.
• Employees reporting after 11:30 AM shall loose ½ day leave/salary.
• Regular late coming will reflect on the appraisal/ review of the employee’s performance Appraisal.

Take on a positive attitude and try motivating them to arrive on time. Explore whether flexible hours can be permitted. Communicate to them that punctuality will be enforced. To demonstrate your seriousness, ensure that latecomers are consistently marked as "Late." Three instances of tardiness in a month will result in a caution, and the fourth occasion will lead to leave being granted.

In my office, if the employees come late three times in a month, their one day of leave is deducted. Secondly, my office hours start at 9:30. Employees must arrive by 9:45 at the latest, according to statutory law. Please ensure compliance with these policies.
