Hi friends,
I'm writing after a long, long time. Well, I just wanted to know what everyone is doing on Valentine's Day, which is tomorrow. What are HR guys doing for the employees? Can you all throw some ideas if at all you are doing something special on the occasion?
Thanks,
Preeti

Hi Preeti,
Well, one of the suggestions is to have a 'Cupid king and queen' competition.
It's very simple:
You will need:
1. A host - Please ensure that he/she is cranky.
2. One music system with a mic.
3. Not to forget, participants.
Rules:
1. At least one girl and guy from each department.
2. No age bar.
3. All the participants will compete independently except for the Dance round (look below for rounds).
4. Participants can be creative, funky, cranky, humorous to the hilt, only avoid vulgar or loose comments. Double meaning allowed to an extent.
Rounds:
1. Introduction round.
2. Proposal round - participants can just propose or request a volunteer if necessary.
3. Dance round - this is the only round where a boy and girl will be paired. The pairing will only happen before the start of this round and will be done by picking up chits...(No biases, okay). The songs will be selected by the host and mentioned in the chits. The host will pass on the chits to the couples before the start of this round only.
Note: Songs like "Tenu Leke - Salaam e Ishq," "Dekha Jo Tujhe Yaar," are liked more. The couple will be given a minute to listen to the mukhda of the song, and they need to perform the whole mukhda after the minute is over. Boy, this is fun...
4. Final round: Q&A: What would you gift your valentine if you had only 57 Rs. in your pocket? Sounds cranky, right...the participants feel that too, and that's where you get funny answers...
Hope this helps you, Preeti. This has been tried and tested. I have won this and hosted this as well, so take it from me, you can have a ball. All the best, and enjoy your Valentine's Day!
