Hi Divya,

Below are two points taken from the attached PPT:

Kindly explain if an employee works for two years and then wishes to withdraw the PF amount, will they receive the complete 24% contribution from both sides, or only 12% from the employee and 3.67% from the employer, excluding the 8.33% contribution.

1. 12% contribution by the employee is directly transferred to his Provident Fund account.
2. 12% is contributed by the employer, out of which 8.33% is credited to the Employee Pension Fund, and the remaining 3.67% is transferred to the PF account of the employee.

Regards,
Swati

Hi Jeevan, If any employee resigns within 6 months of period, they are eligible to claim only PF not pension fund. So they need to submit only form 19.

Hi,

I have a small query regarding PF contribution. If an employer is paying PF contribution at 12% on the Actual Basic for its employees, is it possible to cut down the PF contribution to Rs 780 only (12% on the minimum basic of Rs 6500)?

Is it mandatory for an employer to pay PF where:
A. The salary of the employee/worker is above Rs. 6500?
B. Is it necessary for the employer to increase the PF contribution proportionately if the salary is increased beyond Rs. 6500?

Excellent presentation. However, can you provide final clarification regarding the deduction of the PF amount? Is it based on the Gross Salary or on which component for the deduction from the employee?

I would appreciate your reply to [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons].

Dear Sir,

We request all to please advise me regarding the scheme mentioned below. Are all employees exempted or is it applicable only to new joiners? Could you kindly explain the same?

New EPF members enrolled on or after September 1, 2014, and having a salary of more than INR 15,000/month at the time of joining will not become members of the EPS. Accordingly, the entire contribution of 24% (from the employee and employer) will go to the provident fund account of the employee.
