Hi All,
Recruitment being the face of any company, I would like to know the different ways in which the data collected through the recruitment process can be used effectively to add value to the company. What are the different business intelligence areas that can be worked out through the recruitment data?
Thanks,
Bharath

Hi Bharath,
I am sorry, but I was not able to understand your question. Does your question mean:
1. What are the different ways of utilizing the recruitment data? i.e., the different ways of making use of the C.Vs.
2. How to make the best use of the recruitment data? i.e., to identify the best fit.
Does it mean any of the above questions, or does it have some other meaning?

Dear Bharat,
In my opinion, I don't find that having the recruitment data will add any value to the company for two reasons:
1. The profile becomes outdated.
2. For some reasons, you would have rejected it earlier.
However, you can use this data to analyze the best source for sourcing CVs, i.e., how people reach you, whether by consultants, walk-ins, job portals, reference checks, etc.

Hi,
My basic intention was to challenge the claim that most people have in their minds that recruitment is a very challenging job. The market information we receive can be immensely useful to the organization. How can we structure this data and present it to management to emphasize that recruitment is the key factor? Business intelligence is crucial.
Regarding sourcing, sourcing trends, CTC details, company information, project information, and skill sets—these are our strengths. How can we effectively utilize this data?
Thanks,
Bharath

Hi,
The data can be used in many ways other than finding the right person at the right time.
1. You could infer the CTC or the salary details for a particular skill/experience level.
2. It is also very handy when you are preparing a Job Specification or on your way to Job Analysis.
3. You could make use of the email IDs if you want to conduct a survey and are looking for many IDs.
This is what I could think of; I shall post more if I come across any.

Hi Soumya,
Thanks for the input. I'm into data analysis. I'm already working on the CTC analysis. Additionally, tasks like company database (target companies), workforce size, contacts, skill mapping based on location, and notice period data for various companies are included.
We can also consider adding more tasks apart from those mentioned above.
Thanks,
Bharath
