3. Loan deduction is exceptionally high at 75% of basic pay.
4. It is normal to mention designation, and even department, on the pay-slip.
5. Reputed companies normally use logos on pay-slips.

Just because employees demand, they have no choice but to issue a salary slip that is created with no basic knowledge of salary structuring. I believe their concept is - as long as you get the salary, why worry about the salary slip.
So, try talking to the HR department and let them know that the structuring looks different. If they are people with no knowledge of salary structuring, you will get to know it by the way they handle the issue.
Also, if this is a salary slip submitted by a candidate during an interview - please call the HR and confirm the salary details. You may want to make a call and say that you are from a bank and wanted to confirm the salary details - and take the conversation forward. I have tried this - it worked :-) and found out when someone faked their salary slip while attending an interview.

This particular one is quite common. You can see that the net salary of the person is only Rs 6000 something. This type of salary slip is often provided by many small companies. One example is Hindustan Dorr Oliver. Their permanent employees also receive this kind of salary slip.

It seems that it is totally a fake payslip because there are very significant and essential things which are missing. They are Employee ID No., Designation, P.F No., P.T deductions. So, now you can take necessary action against him.

its totally fake no of days is not mentioned Loan deduction is mentioned as 15, 000 whereas it is not deducted over there After deduction of TDS & PF it must come as Rs.21,125/-

May be genuine, you cannot come to a conclusion by seeing this slip. I used to get a similar salary slip when I was working for my earlier company.
Difficult arriving at a conclusion, please call the company HR and send them this slip to verify.

I think it's fake. (But the LOGO of the Company looks real) because this Salary Slip does not carry the following points:
1) Designation of the Employee
2) Employee ID
3) Location
4) Number of days Present
5) Leave availed during the month
6) PF No. (compulsory in this case because the Salary Slip shows that the company is deducting the PF from the Salary.)
7) ESIC No. (Optional)
8) Bank Account Number where Salary is Credited.
AND Find the format of the salary slip something that looks like this.

- it has not contain the no of days of working in the month for which this salary slip has been issued i.e. January 2008.
- It has to be on the letter head of the co. i.e. JAPAN AIRLINES INTERNATIONAL CO. LIMITED.
- It has to be issued with diary or dispatcher reference no.
- It has to be contained with the designation of Mr. Neeraj Sharma or the title under which Mr. Neeraj Sharma is working in that Co.
- We have checked that the japan airlines's actual name is JAPAN AIRLINES CORPORATION and it website is JAL|q‹óŒ” —\–ñE‹óÈƉïE‰^'ÀˆÄ“à| so find out the real name of the company, if it is subsidary then please make sure that the salary slip should contains the address of its registered office and administration office and office in india and also should be contain the contact no. of india on which it can be verified.

Thirdly, if you observe the company seal, the November one is darker, December is a little lighter, and January is much lighter.
Fourth, the loan amount being deducted does not match the actual salary.
There is a need to probe the person in detail for further clarification.

I completely agree with Ash Mathew. The responses posted seem to be based on what the individual's organization is following or what is perceived common practice. There are many organizations that are small in size with few employees that do not bother to issue payslips. They issue payslips based on the needs of employees, so instead of just guessing, it is better to check the company name, call the company directly, and talk to them. This will establish the genuineness more reliably.

Very simple. Just write to the HR Department of Japan Airlines and send them a copy of this Salary Slip. Their response will give you an answer.
By merely looking at the attached slip, one cannot conclusively decide upon its authenticity. You never know, it may be a valid one.

If your suspicions of the Slip being a fake one are confirmed, confront the employee and inform him that you would be willing to accept his resignation with immediate effect and release him promptly. If he disagrees, you are well within your rights to terminate his services immediately. Clearly state in the letter the act of forgery committed by him.
