I faced the same problem. I had to move to specs. I discontinued and shifted to yoga. The effects are better. The power, which was 0.75 (-), has come down to 0.25 (-), even though viewing has gone up to almost 12 hours a day.

Viewing candlelight as the light oscillates in a dark room has been helpful. It regulates your eye vision. Splashing eyes with water frequently has reduced the strain. Above all, meditation for 5 minutes each day has been a great help.
