Less Expensive HR Events/Practices

Dear All,

I have recently joined this community and must say it's a great help for HR professionals. I would welcome your suggestions and ideas on less expensive HR events/practices which can be implemented in a software company. Some examples include birthday and marriage celebrations, long service awards, festival celebrations/organizing traditional days, in-house refresher programs for employees, and team-building trips.

Thank you for your input.

Team Building Through Fun Activities

Take a small trip to a nearby area for team building. Arrange some tricky games to introduce each other. In the medium term, start a training agenda and knowledge sharing. The visiting place doesn't matter, but learning through fun for employees is very beneficial for both HR and employees.

1. You must also have an in-house award celebration, meaning spot awards should be given to an employee by way of certification for their hard work for the company or contributions that have brought profit to the company. This is not expensive; it only costs paper and printing. You can call the employee's name on the PA system surprisingly and provide them with the spot award in the form of a certificate presented by the head of the company.

2. In-house debate competitions or PJ competitions can be entertaining for employees.

Hi Bincy,

You can arrange for the following events:

1. Weekend physical games (Friday evening), one game per week.
2. Knowledge-sharing sessions (one per week).
3. HR Clinic - where you could create stress-buster games and provide counseling for personal and professional problems.
4. Talent of the Year - Organize an exclusive day where you can showcase talented individuals, conduct fun activities, and end with a good dinner.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance with these events.

Thank you.
