Dear All,

There are some common features of HR policy that are applicable to every industry. These include:

1. Attendance management
2. Leave management
3. Appointment procedures
4. Dress code
5. Disciplinary norms
6. Training & Development
7. Reporting structure
8. Correspondence
9. Employee benefit schemes
10. Discontinuation of service
11. Other service conditions
12. Full/final settlement
13. Email use
14. Holidays, etc.

All of the above have several sub-clauses that need to be detailed in the policy. You can then customize the policy according to your industry.

Would like to hear others' views, please.

Thank you, subhabratadg,

Is there any compulsory policy for any organization? I assumed policies differ from organization to organization. Am I right? Then I wanted to know the core policies for any organization.

With warm regards,

Dear,

Please add some compulsory policies as follows:

1) Child labour policy & its rehabilitation policy.
2) Forced/bonded labour policy
3) Sexual harassment policy (for female employees)
4) Health, Safety & Environment policies
5) Freedom of association policy
6) Discrimination policy

Without the implementation of the above policies, you can't apply best practices for your organization.
