Hi all,

I have just joined the BPO sector where my major responsibilities include recruitment, selection, joining formalities, and a few others. Although the company is following its own strategy, I do not find it very impressive. They have given me the liberty to make necessary changes. Please help me with relevant information as I am new to this industry.

Thanks and Regards,
Bhawna

Hi Bhawna,

To be successful in the recruiting line, it is important for you to understand all the open requirements in a better way. Speak with line managers on a regular basis, have a better bonding with existing staff members, and maintain an optimistic approach. I am confident that you will see success. From my experience, the best way to recruit BPO employees will be through employee referrals and job sites. It would also be good to have a tie-up with training institutes that provide English speaking and PD training.

Additionally, it would be beneficial for you to speak with top performers in all teams to clearly understand the qualities that your firm is looking for in prospective employees. When recruiting top performers, it is very important that their personality should match the characteristics of the job.

Thanks,
Rahul

Hi,

What Rahul says is absolutely true. One cannot recruit talent in a business one does not identify. Hence, first get to know your business thoroughly. Also, carve out clear job descriptions, specifications, and TDRs (Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities).
