Sabbatical leaves are generally given by some organizations to employees to take some time off from work and go for further studies outside the country. It is seen by HR professionals as a retention technique, providing job security to an employee. Sabbatical leaves can be for a year or more.

Hi,

I wish to know under sabbatical leave, is it possible to get the employment certificate and close down all other benefits. Will one still be on the payroll or be removed, and is he valid for promotions during the period of leave.
