Hi all,

I have left an organization with which I worked for 3 years and 4 months. I submitted my resignation and asked to be relieved as soon as possible. My notice period was two months. I didn't mention anything about serving my notice period in my resignation letter, and no one asked about it either. I submitted my resignation on August 1, 2008, and was relieved on August 4, 2008, after handing over the assets. I have a letter on plain paper stating the handover of my assets.

Am I entitled to receive the notice pay? If yes, what should I do to claim it? If not, why? Also, I have not been given a letter of experience or relieving till date.

Please suggest what steps I can take in this situation.

How can you get notice pay when you have asked to relieve ASAP? You can only request for expn./relieving certificates.
