Hello,

This is Rinkie, and I am new to this forum. I have completed my MBA in HR in Hyderabad and even secured a position in a good company. However, later on, the company required me to relocate to a different state altogether, so I had to leave the job.

I have been actively searching for HR roles in Hyderabad, but most of the job offers I receive are from consultant firms specializing in recruitment. They mention that I would be responsible for cold calling prospective candidates and offering them BPO jobs. I am striving to secure HR positions in corporate companies, but so far, my efforts have been fruitless. Is it possible that MNCs and corporates do not consider hiring freshers? Is there a way for me to enter a reputable company in the HR field as a fresher? The salary is not my primary concern; what matters most to me is joining a reputable organization.

Could anyone provide me with advice on this matter?

Thanks,
Rinkie

Rinkie,

The first mistake was quitting the HR job. HR jobs are very few and mostly get closed through reference. Freshers hardly get core HR jobs... even there is no difference between MBA and B.Com Graduates for this matter. The more gap you have in your career, the more difficult it would be to find a job.

My suggestion would be to start a job in a decent consultancy for a start, and while working, you can find an HR job. This way, you would also come in close contact with potential recruiters, and this networking would help you a lot.

Regards,
Chintan
