Dear all,
As the HR head of the company, one should always create policies to engage employees in human resources orientation. This could include activities such as labor productivity record-keeping, implementing accident prevention measures, and fostering positive worker management relations.

Hi Saby,
It is nice to hear that you are keen on doing more engagement activities. I suggest that you primarily identify what your objectives, purpose, and what you would want to achieve from these employee engagement initiatives. Having done that, you can then look at options and methodologies to achieve them. Also, executing an objective-based activity or initiative would help you drive home the point better with the line guys, thereby highlighting the HR contribution to Ops.
You could firstly identify the purpose and share it with the citehr members who can then pour in their suggestions.
Best Regards

Hi All,
I am new to this wonderful site. This website is very helpful for freshers like us. I'm Janaki, just completed my MBA from Osmania University. I have joined a software company. I am tasked with taking care of all HR activities, but this is my first time dealing with core HR activities.
I don't have an idea of how to proceed and start my work. I have some knowledge of the recruitment and selection process, but payroll, compensation, and all these things are very new to me. Additionally, I'm supposed to maintain the employee database in the organization.
Can anybody help me out regarding this? Please provide me with some valuable information that would aid in my career growth.
Waiting for a reply!!!!
Regards,
Janaki

Organize an arm-wrestling competition in your organization. Go to one department, ask two employees to wrestle arms. The winner wrestles with a new contestant and so on. The one who defeats the maximum number of people is the winner or whatsoever.

Hi Janaki,
You can go through the attached Excel to get an idea of the basic information related to your existing staff required for your organization. You can send this format to all the existing staff and ask them to fill in their details, then send it back to you by [specify a date to collect the data]. You can also share this format with new hires during the induction process.
Once you start receiving responses, keep updating the employee database in the base Excel sheet.
Thanks, Pratibha

Hi,
I am very glad to be a member of this site. Can you please help me with how to draft an email to the employees, informing them that a new choreographer is coming to the office premises to teach dance, and employees are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity?
