Hi all,
I have joined an IT company, and I have been given the responsibility to develop an induction PPT and an Induction Manual. I am clear on what to include in the PPT, but I am confused about what to include in the manual. What should be the difference between the PPT and the Manual?
Please help me urgently.

Hi,
An induction manual must include the following:
I. Contacts (Extension, Mobile, and Email) of the important SPOCs of various business units:
1. Facility/Logistics - Admin
2. HR (Employee Relations)
3. Transport/Travels - Admin
4. Finance
5. Training
II. Processes and prerequisites to acquire support from each department.
III. Generic HR information such as:
- Life and Medical Insurance details
- Leave Policy
- Retention policy and benefits
- Escalation and Notification matrix
IV. Generic information about the company that all employees are supposed to know, including:
- Values
- Vision
- Jargons
- Intranet
- Portal
- Learning places & resources
- Recreation
- Committees
- Do's and Don'ts
Also, speak to your HR Director or head to identify if there are any company-specific details or format that they wish to include in the manual.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any additional information.
