Hi Faye,

Your presentation should provide an overall view of the organization, including its basic ground rules, benefits (explained in detail), contact persons, and all the information that would help new employees gain insight into who handles what.

A typical joining kit would include information about the employee, their educational and family details, an email ID creation form, medical details, PF forms, and ID creation.

Induction Manual:
Should have a message by Chief Executive / Head of HR.
Aims and objectives of the Induction Programme, Company Vision Statement, Reading Material on topics to be covered during Induction Training, if applicable, such as Introduction to Organization/Company, Strategic/Corporate Plans, Introduction to Functional Issues i.e., Marketing, Finance, HR, Materials/Supply Chain, etc., to give an overall perspective.

Joining Kit:
List/details of all the trainees, important phone numbers, nearest market, hospital, bus stand, etc., FAQs, Synopsis on Joining Formalities, Forms/Formats to be filled in at the time of joining, names, phone numbers of mentors or other important contact persons, Induction Schedule, Blazer/Tie with Company Logo, Purse with Company Logo for Ladies, Brief on Place of Induction and how to access it - logistics, etc., Emergency Facilities/Contact Persons.

One could consider supplying pen drives for making soft copies of presentations, etc.

These are a few things that struck me at random.
