Hi friends,
When an employee is sent on deputation to either a branch/sister concern, how does one maintain his attendance? Is a separate attendance register maintained, or can the employee sign along with the regular staff of that branch/sister concern?
Thanks and regards,
Uma

Hi,
When an employee is sent on deputation, the deputed employee's attendance should be maintained at the deputed branch/concern. The employee's name should appear along with the other regular staff.

Deputation can be for short-term as well as long-term. In case the employee is posted for the long term, i.e., a month or more, then the name of the employee can be added to the list of the employee registered in the respective unit where the employee is deputed. Otherwise, if the deputation is for a few days, then the employee can be marked as "Unit - visited (comment)" in the regular register at the mother unit against the dates of absence.

Hi Uma,
One needs to maintain an additional register for deputation cases. For example, if an employee is sent on deputation to Location B from Location A, his name should continue to be in the same register at Location A with "OD" (on duty) marked. At Location B, his name should be written in a separate register (deputation), and he should sign there daily.

Hi!
We have a subsidiary company in the US. Employees are going on deputation on the rolls of that subsidiary company. I want to know the following:
1) Does the deputed person have a lien on a job in the parent company?
2) If his parent company wants to take him back on their rolls, is it possible to reinstate the employment in the parent company?
Please help me.
Regards,
Amit

I have some queries with respect to working out dispensation for employees who are deputed to the UK. If any of you know how to go about deputing employees on projects to the UK with regard to continuing their Indian salary here and providing them with allowances in the UK, please explain the process to me. I require urgent assistance. Thanks a lot!
