This is a good effort. Some clarifications, please! What is the meaning of the following:
(1) MVR? Something to do with background checks, but what exactly?
(2) FMLA administration?
(3) HIPAA administration?

Hi Manga Vaiphei,
I would appreciate it if you have gone through all the elements. Even I had a doubt about these terms, and from what I have searched and observed, these terms would be described as follows:
- FMLA - Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)
- HIPAA - Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
- MVR - Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) or Driving Records (MVR)
I have also forwarded my query in this regard. If I get the confirmation, I will definitely let you know. I would say that by understanding these elements of HR, we can conceptualize the role of HRM.

Hi,
Good post. However, this is an American version, focusing more on Administration rather than HRD. Upon reviewing the complete list, you will observe routine tasks that need to be performed. It does not encompass activities such as training need identification, training, development, etc. This leans towards HR administration. I recommend scrutinizing the list more closely and making adjustments to tailor it for the Indian context.

Hi Manishadham,
My wife is considering getting into HR. This will probably frighten her, but it's excellent info. 😊 And since we don't have an HR department, I might have to take on the role (though it's not my primary duty). So both ways, this is very good.
Thanks.

Thanx for going through my post. Here are the answers to your questions.
1.The performance of the employees is evaluated by the management likewise the performance of the seniors or people at management level is also evaluated. Their subordinates evaluate the performance of the seniors. Like HODs are appraised by their concerned staff. I hope this have cleared the concept of performance appraisal (management) and non - management (support staff). But the criteria of evaluating the performance of the management differ from the non - managerial level.
2.HRIS management facilitates the report generation which is helpful to the management for taking strategic decisions. These reports are like employee turnover report, performance appraisal report, No. of employees, Payroll etc
3.Employee Assistance Program is a counseling service for employees who may be experiencing work place or personal problems, which may be affecting the productivity of an employee.
4.Benefits analysis and review – Includes confirm positions included in analysis, Review job descriptions , Review pay ranges and current compensation and benefits for selected positions, Conduct comparative study of relevant market data based on industry, size, area, Prepare matrix analysis of competitive compensation and benefits and their relative importance, Present findings and recommendations to management
5.Flexible Spending Account administration -. A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is a pre-tax benefit that allows employees to deduct money pre-tax out of each paycheck. Complete FSA Administration . The major focus is to encourage your employees to take full advantage of this tax saving opportunity.
As far as Benefit Invoice Auditing is concerned , I have also posted my request for clarifications in this regard. What i have learned from my searches that the employees benefits must be accurate on the basis of the terms of employment and the invoices raised on the benefits offered must be verified or audited.
I have put up the best of my knowledge to answer your questions. I hope this will clarify your doubts and i would appreciate if you could suggest me or guide me to improve upon my knowledge through sharing of thoughts.
Cheers

Hi Surya,
Yes, that's true. These are not exactly 52; it's more than that. I have some more suggestions from Mr. Murthy. Below are some additional components:
- Statutory Activities (according to country)
- Employee Relations
- Negotiations (collective bargaining)
- Training and Development
- Induction
- Time Management
There could be more suggestions as well. If you have any recommendations, please let me know.
Thank you with regards,
