Hi,

You can formulate the leave policy in compliance with the statutory requirements. It should be:
CL - 12
SL - 12
EL - 17 (for every 21 days, one EL is given) in compliance with statutory needs, and you can follow the same depending on your management's approval for the same.

Thanks...

Hi,

Leave policies are almost always similar in most countries, even in developing countries like ours. However, what most fail to incorporate in the formulation of these policies is the angle of retention. Attrition is one of the greatest concerns across industries, and by increasing the leave credits as the tenure of an employee grows, it may minimize the problem. It doesn't have to be a big increase, but it will give employees something to think about if they are planning to find employment elsewhere. I've been conducting surveys to confirm this, and the results are positive.

Xpert’s leave rules are quite adequate, and HR colleagues may feel free to follow them on principle, but they may wish to amend the number of days allowed if they so wish. Thanks, Xpert. Jeroo

Hi all,

Could anyone help me with HR policies for a multinational corporation (MNC), starting from recruitment? I would like to understand salary calculation, PF, taxation, leave policy, etc. I would appreciate it if you could suggest any books on Indian policies related to the above.

Thanks in advance.

I have some queries regarding leaves. Hope you will help me.

Ours is a Pvt Ltd company from Maharashtra. I want to design a Leave policy for my company. What I know is, "earned Leave and maternity leaves" are mandatory as per the Act. But are Casual Leaves and Sick leaves mandatory? Please guide me.
