Hi, can anybody suggest how to withdraw PF amount into the account without having the PF number? Due to certain circumstances, I had to leave the company without notice, and now I do not want to approach them. With what other information can we know our PF number? Can we find it through the PAN Number or...? Please do reply. Thank you.

You can find your PF account number from the PF local office based on the address of your last office area. If your last company was registered with PF, then they are responsible for submitting the returns and fulfilling all legal obligations. You can inquire with the Public Relations Officer (PRO) at the PF office with the correct company name, and they will assist you accordingly. It is essential to know the company's PF code first before obtaining your account number. I hope this information provides some clarity.

If you have the registered name, you can also search for the code online. Use a search engine like Google and look up "EPFO - know about your PF status and other entries."

Hi, if you had absconded (that is what is counted by your activity) by ditching the employer, it would not be possible to get your PF amount.

Settlement form needs to be forwarded through the employer, who certifies the information. If you had served less than one year, and if it is the first employer, then even after certification by the employer, you can only withdraw 50% of the amount, and that too after 3 months from the last employment date or resignation.

Thank you for the reply, but please note that the money deposited by employees does not belong to the employer. Therefore, the employee must retrieve the money legally. For instance, if the employer is not providing the No Objection Certificate (NOC), the employee can obtain a declaration from a competent authority approved by the local PF authority. There may be reasons other than absconding as to why she is not willing to seek the NOC.

She should be able to claim her PF without any issues. She can acquire her PF account number from the local office and meet with the Public Relations Officer (PRO).

Dear ROSH,

You need not bother about your PF amount; it will go nowhere. The only thing is you have put a little extra time and effort. Follow these steps:

1) Send your resignation by registered post and keep a copy of the acknowledgement. Don't worry if your employer does not accept it. Ask him to send your PF number.

2) After two months of that, you can approach the local PF office and get your number. As suggested by others from the PF website, you can get your organization number.

3) Take the signature of any gazetted officer and submit your claim. Then, the PF office will check your genuineness (verifies you are the correct person) and transfer your PF to the given account number in the claim form. If you have any doubts, send me a message at whitelotus99@gmail.com.

Dear ROSH,

Yes, to a certain extent, you will be right in what you are doing because we don't know the reason for you to quit the company. If your service was less than 6 months with that company, the best thing to do is to get it transferred since you will only get the employee contribution. However, if you have worked for more than 6 months, then just collect your company PF number from any of your ex-company friends. With that code, you can try to collect your PF number from the local PF office. The only thing that might be a problem, according to me, is in most of the cases, you need to get PF forms signed by the employer. Hopefully, without any problem, you will be able to get your PF amount.

More importantly, you can apply for PF withdrawal only after 60 days from your last date of working. Let us know if you have got this problem solved.

I wanted to know if the PF account is managed by a company-owned trust, how many sets of forms should I submit (Form 19D & 10C)? Please help. As per my knowledge, I also think we can apply for withdrawal after 2 months of resignation. Please clarify.

Hi, I am based out of Pune. Five years ago, I was working with a French MNC in Pune. At that time, I did not opt for PF. However, for the past two years, I have been attempting to retrieve my PF, but unfortunately, they are not providing the necessary support. I do not have my PF number or the company code. Despite this, I have sent them two forms (Form 19 and 10c) along with cross-checks. What should I do next?

You can find your Company Code and our PF number at http://search.epfoservices.in/est_search.php. More importantly, you can apply for PF withdrawal only after 60 days from your last date of working.

Dear Rosh,

As per the suggestion of many seniors, you need to send your resignation and request for settlement. The PF amount will not go anywhere as the UAN number must have been allotted by the employer. Do proper communication with your ex-employer and keep documents/records as proof, and then submit your request to the local PF office, attaching all communication documents. This approach will work positively.
