Hi Everyone, I have been working as an HR manager at Pvt Ltd for the past 7 years. Since we are an old company and have already crossed 20 plus employees, what risk factors are involved if we implement EPF now? Moreover, my employer wants to give EPF to only 20 people whose basic is Rs. 15,000. I sincerely request if anyone has come across a similar kind of situation and can help me in this regard.

Hi, Greetings of the day.. if you have more than 20 employee in your organisation.. you can fill up a form 11 of epf declaration..

PF & Miscellaneous Act Coverage

The moment the total number of employees reaches 20 or more, the organization will be covered under the PF & Miscellaneous Act. This manpower includes contractual employees also engaged by the organization, even if their PF is maintained by the contractor.

There will be a retroactive effect if it is noticed that the manpower was 20 or more from past dates. There is no harm in paying PF for those employees whose PF Gross is up to Rs. 15,000 per month. If there are any employees whose UAN is already linked from a past employer and their PF Gross is more than Rs. 15,000 at present, they will also be covered.
