The practice of considering holidays and weekends when calculating a notice period for an employee’s last working date can vary depending on the company’s policies and local labor laws.
Hi
In this perspective ,it is clearly understood that the employees & HR dept are not having clear policy about notice period.
As soon ad the employees submits their resignation ,after acceptance their notice period starts.Notice perid is nothing but the obligation of the employee to fulfil his duties to complete the other formalities. In this period holidays & weely off days arr naturally calculated,They included in the notice period.Even employee can come in holiday & can complete his remaining work.
Holidays & weekly off are the previlage given by Labour law ,emoloyer can not curtail it.
