Hi, good evening to all of you. I have a question related to the PF account.
My last job, from which PF was deducted, was resigned in December. So now, if I want to use the same PF number in another company, will it work properly or not?

Hi, PF numbers will vary from company to company. When you join a new office, they will allot a new PF number. However, at the time of joining, you should provide your UAN number to the new office, which is mandatory. After 2-3 months of contributions with the new employer, you can transfer the old office PF to your new office PF. Hope this is clear.

Hi, UAN stands for Universal Account Number. The UAN, once generated, remains constant throughout your employment years, regardless of the number of jobs you change. In contrast, the PF number will vary from organization to organization.
Understanding UAN and PF Numbers
UAN is like an umbrella under which you will have multiple PF numbers as you change employment.
