Hi If employee is covered under ESI then no need for WC coverage.

Any employee covered under ESIC won’t get the benefits under Workmen compensation Act, There are many of the court rulings stating no 2 or more benefits for same injuries

It should be viewed that all employees who meet with an accident during the course of employment are entitled to compensation following the provisions of the Employees' Compensation Act. However, in respect of an employee covered by the ESI Act, the compensation payable under the aforementioned Act will be paid by the ESI Corporation only.
