Urgent!! Need Expert's Guidance. I was checking the minimum wage for Maharashtra and came across two different wage rates (like one where the Basic is 10021 and in the other, it is 7700, and so on). Which one should I follow? Please check the reference. (Irrespective of the year).

The first one is for the shops & establishments registered as per the S&E Act of Maharashtra. The second is the minimum wages notified by the state government as applied to the respective industries in the state. So it would depend on whether you are a shop/establishment or engaged in any of the industries specified in the Schedule.

Hi @KK!HR, The second one is for industries, but it mentions 'Hotels and Restaurants', which, as per my knowledge, falls under Shop & Establishment. Hence the confusion. I need MW for my upcoming restaurant/hotel.

When the hotel industry is specifically mentioned in the Minimum Wages notification, it must be fully complied with, and S&E must be adhered to for other matters therein. These are not alternatives. The safe option is to comply with the higher rate. Umakanthan Sir can shed more light on this.
