Hi all, one of our staff members believed their salary was 21,000 in hand. However, due to a communication gap, it was calculated as 21,001 gross with no ESIC deducted, and they have worked for 11 days. How can we calculate the difference amount on this salary? Please help.

What is the issue? Is the issue with ESI not being deducted? Since his salary exceeded Rs 21,000, there is no need to contribute to ESI. For this, his actual earnings for 11 days may be ignored, and you can take his notional wages, the wages/salary that he would have earned had he worked for the entire 30/31 days in the month.
