ESIC Directions on Conveyance Allowance
ESIC has issued directions to all Regional Offices, Sub-Regional Offices, and Regional Directors that the payment of Conveyance Allowance falls under the definition of wage as defined in section 2(22) of the ESIC Act. This matter has been considered based on the recent Supreme Court judgment between M/s Texmo Industries Vs ESIC SLP No. 811/2021. This judgment will be effective from 08.03.21. ESIC's copy and the Supreme Court judgment are enclosed.
