Calculation of Salary Deduction for Absenteeism
If we deduct 30% from an employee's basic salary and then he/she is absent, what will be the calculation of the deduction for his absenteeism? Will it be calculated on his basic salary or on the amount after the 30% deduction?
For example, if the salary of an employee is 15,000/- per month, after a 30% deduction, it becomes 10,500/-. If he then is absent for 1 day, would his net salary be 10,000/- or 10,150/-?
