There is no set of labor laws exclusively for start-ups. Whatever is applicable will apply to start-ups. There are some financial and procedural supports available through various schemes that can be availed from the authorities concerned. You can browse the links provided on these pages at the bottom and sides, which will help you understand the matters involved. Employment-Related Laws for Startups

All mandatory employment-related and workplace-related laws applicable to any commercial establishments (non-manufacturing) shall apply to your startup establishment, with the proviso that you may apply for and obtain exemptions specific to your establishment.

Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act 2013

While on the subject, please take note that the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act 2013 shall compulsorily apply to your workplace if ten or more workers, including those on contract, are employed or engaged, irrespective of whether women are employed or not.

Internal Committee Requirements

Constitute an Internal Committee comprising of four functionaries (as per Section 4), organize mandatory twin programs for IC members, and if you came into existence in the year 2019, request your IC to prepare and file the IC Annual Report for the calendar year 2019 (Sections 21 & 22).
