Dear All,

My organization wants to appoint a government retired pension holder as a consultant. Is it possible? If so, how should his/her appointment letter be formatted? What is the remuneration/consolidated remuneration/fee structure, and what other terms and conditions will be applied? Please guide.

Thank you.

You can appoint a government retired person on a contract basis. This is a recent trend. You can draft the appointment letter accordingly and deduct T.D.S from his/her monthly remuneration/fees. In your area, you may find that medical store owners appoint government retired pharmacists to work in medical stores as it is mandatory to have a pharmacist in a medical store.
