Hi, I was working for a company, and one year ago, I left the company due to issues with them. Now, after checking the UAN portal, I noticed that my Date of Exit (DOE) is not displayed, and my PAN card is still pending approval for KYC. However, my Aadhar, mobile number, and bank account details are approved. When I requested them to update my DOE, they refused and are now unresponsive. Subsequently, I applied for an advance PF withdrawal using Form 31 available on the portal. I would like to know if I will be able to receive the amount without EPFO approval or if employer approval is required again.

Once you leave the organization, you are supposed to claim the full PF only and not an advance. Alternatively, you can transfer your PF to your new employer. For both claiming or advancing, employer approval is necessary. In case the employer refuses to update the Date of Exit (DOE), please write a request letter (through RPAD) to them, requesting approval. If you still do not receive a response, you can take it further with the respective PF office, including a copy of the letter sent to your previous employer.

The employer has nothing to do with PAN card approval. Please ensure that the name on your PAN card matches the name on your Aadhar card and employment records.

Dear Laxminarayanan sir,

I have some WhatsApp conversations with the concerned person of that company. Would it be helpful to produce these in the EPFO office as documents? Alternatively, should I write an email to all and take a printout? Would that be helpful for the EPFO office?

Thank you.
