I hold a master's degree in Business - Finance and a B.Tech degree. I have been working in a public sector bank for two years. The bank has decided to dismiss me from services due to inflated rental bills (actual amount 5800, claimed 8000) which I didn't do intentionally but thought of rent as an entitlement. Also, I was unaware that the electricity bill is separate from the rent. Now, since I have been dismissed, what can be my future career prospects? Kindly help.

This may affect your future. I suggest you talk to the management of your bank and request forgiveness so that they don't document it. In case they do document it and put it in your files, it will reflect in your background verification each time you join a new company.

P.S. - Respect your profession and keep your values intact.

I understand that, but this is a public sector bank. Decisions are made elsewhere, possibly in another state. I rarely get a chance to express my perspective. Even after that, if they have to adhere to the rules (since it's a public sector), what can I do? I mean, can I find employment where I can showcase my diligence, grow within the organization, and maybe after 5-10 years consider moving. At that point, it may not matter much.
