I am in the process of terminating an agreement with my vendor following a breach of the said agreement. Is there any template or format I can use for this purpose? I need to issue a one-month notice as per the agreement.

Firstly, you should go through the terms laid down in your agreement to determine if the vendor has breached any terms. Otherwise, you will have to adhere to the terms and conditions specified in your agreement and serve a one-month notice of termination.

Review of Terms and Agreement:
Especially check what the termination clause says. Check if the breach of agreement is justified as per the agreement terms. Check for the notice period towards the termination of the agreement. Check if the vendor has cleared all compliance till the previous period. Also, I would suggest giving an opportunity to the vendor to be heard and provide an explanation if any. If all the above is done, you can draft a nice termination letter with the appropriate notice period and indemnity for the smooth withdrawal of services, etc.

Termination Notice Format
There is no specific format or template required by law. You can Google for copies of letters or formats that others have used. You need to give a simple notice of termination in the form of a letter stating the termination, referring to the relevant clauses of your agreement, and giving the reason. Ensure the date of termination is specified, as well as what happens to existing work and employees, and pending invoices/settlement of dues. You can say "settlement will be done after compliances on your part are completed" or something of that nature.
