I have been working in the finance team for the last five years. In our company, payroll, PF, ESI, and LWF are handled by the Finance Team. Our HR wants to take over the responsibilities for PF and ESI, and for that, they started complaining about my work from last year. We then handed it over to HR with proper training. However, after that, they started creating problems for me. If I find any errors in HR and Admin bills, they take it personally and make passing comments in front of other employees. This is because the company owners are living in the USA.
More than three times, they have compared me to a street dog directly because they got approval on inappropriate bills. I am senior to them, but due to a lack of good communication, I am unable to clarify all details with seniors. As a result, HR is taking advantage. Through their personal comments, they are mentally harassing me. I have reported their behavior issues to seniors, but they responded that I have no documented proof, and no employee will support me because employees are not familiar with me. In that case, the seniors are not taking any action against HR.
I want to change my job at the earliest, but I have been handling my team alone for the last year. Therefore, it's not possible to leave the job on short notice. However, I am unable to handle the mental pressure. Please suggest what I should do because they are tarnishing my image in front of all employees.

Dear Friend, don't bother with the tricks played by your counterpart. Feel proud that you have handled PF/ESI remittance for so many years, trained them, and delegated the task to them. Communication does make sense, but please note it is not the only skill that is always needed. Your wide knowledge (cross-functional) adds to your expertise.
Just ignore those negative forces and focus more on your tasks, as the pressure they exert on you might distract you from your regular work. Seeking a new job might not solve your problem, as the new environment, management, new team, or new boss may mistakenly evaluate you based solely on your communication skills, creating a similar atmosphere to what you are experiencing in your current company.
Strive to make your presence more significant in your current company by taking on new responsibilities so that no one will want you to leave, and they will surely support you forever.

1. Gather evidence against HR, as it is difficult to support your claims without it. You can secretly record any taunts or inappropriate comments made by HR or other colleagues on your mobile device as they occur.
2. Highlight any inappropriate bills that were sanctioned, as this constitutes serious misconduct on their part.
3. Keep a detailed record of other instances of wrongdoing by HR, organized by date, and present the entire evidence to top management to seek justice.
The outcome of these actions is uncertain, but if you decide to leave the organization, at least fight until the end to teach HR a lesson. HR is supposed to be the conscience keeper, but if your version is to be believed, they seem to be trampling on it.
