Here is an extract from the conclusion of the article: "... As evidenced in our review of the IM literature published since Gardner and Martinko’s article, however, there is much work yet to be done. We hope that this article will be useful to researchers who pursue that work by providing an overview of what we know about the use of IM tactics and suggesting several key issues that need to be addressed in order for us to continue making meaningful progress in this area. ..."
Based on that information, there is scope to do research and add new knowledge to the knowledge bank, a key criterion for getting a Ph.D. degree.
