Hi, I signed a bond of 2 years for 2 lakh. My training was approximately 2.5 months, and for the past 3 months, I have been on the bench. My probation period of 6 months will be over on 25th April 2018. Health issues began around January, but because of the bond money being too significant, I decided not to leave. However, now my mother's health is deteriorating. She has gall bladder stones and is battling depression. Therefore, I now wish to resign.

In early March, I informed them of everything and requested to be transferred to Delhi or Pune, but they stated it is not feasible. Currently, I am in Chennai, and they are asking me to repay the bond money, serve a 3-month notice period, and then leave. What should I do? I am unable to easily transition to another company with the specialized training they provided me, as the software is extensive, and they only covered a portion of it. Additionally, it is unlikely for a company in the North to hire an experienced individual in that domain, as most companies operating in that field are located in the South. Please assist me as I am running out of time.

One must distinguish between personal health issues and parents' health issues.

You will have to try and convince the company to post you to Delhi or Pune. Asking for Delhi or Pune on the grounds of your mother's health issue may not be convincing because the distance between Delhi and Pune is more than 1000 km. Secondly, your mother's problems must have been pre-existing when you joined.
