Register of Wages

Presuming the establishment to be covered under the Orissa Payment of Wages Rules 1936, the relevant portion is extracted below:

A Register of Wages shall be maintained in every factory and may be kept in such form as the paymaster finds convenient but shall include the following particulars:

(a) the gross wages earned by each person employed for each wage period;

(b) all deductions made from those wages, with an indication in each case of the clause of Sub-section (2) of Section 7 under which the deduction is made;

(c) the wages actually paid to each person employed for each wage period.

Subject to (a), (b), & (c) above, a register could be designed, and that should suffice.

As per the new amendment by the Government of India, the following registers must be maintained electronically while ensuring the integrity of documents. Kindly check whether these are useful to you.

· Form A - Employee Register (complete database of employees, replacing the earlier adult register)
· Form B - Wages Register
· Form C - Register of Loan/Advance/Fine/Damage/Loss
· Form D - Register of Attendance
· Form E - Register of Leave/Rest/Com-off

I have forwarded the registers in an Excel file to your email ID [Email Removed For Privacy Reasons] as it was not uploading on this site.

Regards,
Suresh

Dear members,

It has been observed that a number of CiteHR members are requesting forms from Mr. Suresh via email without first checking the status of their appropriate government. Please ensure that these formats are utilized by the units under the jurisdiction of the Central Government and are covered by the Payment of Wages Act, 1936. We need to refer to the relevant State Payment of Wages Rules in this regard.
