Hi, this is Vijay. I want to know information about when I worked in a previous company for only 2 months. There were deductions in the PF and ESI. Do you think I should withdraw my PF amount? If yes, how? Please tell me as soon as possible. Note: I don't want to transfer it to my current company.

Hi Mr. Vijay Kannan,

For PF withdrawal, the minimum requirement is to pay six months' contributions. Therefore, there is no possibility for immediate PF withdrawal. If you wish to retain the same account, you will need to submit a request to transfer your PF account to your previous company. Once you obtain your UAN, you can continue using the same account in your current company.

Thanks & Regards,

If you worked less than 6 months, you can't withdraw your pension amount, but you can withdraw the PF amount. This means you can withdraw only 15.67% out of 24%, with interest. The 24% represents your deduction of 12% and the employer's deduction of 12%.

Thank you & Regards,
