Hi Mengann22,
As per my view, HR services vary depending on the requirements of companies. But generally, there are some major categories that you can provide to customers:
1. Talent Acquisition (TA) - In my opinion, this falls under the recruitment umbrella but with more in-depth requirements. Basic recruitment typically involves filling a position, whereas in TA, there are specific requirements based on the company's needs regarding education, experience, and skills. For hiring in a manufacturing unit, recruitment can be divided into two categories: for the corporate office and for workers. Some companies opt for a 3rd party to handle the hiring process (talent/recruitment agency/firm). The salary discrepancies between corporate employees and workers are often influenced by local laws.
2. Training & Development - Training tailored to the company's improvement needs for its employees. This can encompass technical knowledge or motivational training. For example, a company might require technical training like 'MS-Excel' or motivational training such as 'office etiquette'.
3. Performance Appraisal - Most companies have policies for performance appraisals, which involve following specific parameters to assess employees. The requirements for performance appraisal vary from one company to another. Researching the types of performance appraisals available in the market can be beneficial.
4. Compensation & Benefits - Also known as Payroll/Salary services, these services are self-explanatory. However, managing these services may necessitate software solutions for tracking attendance logs and generating salaries and pay slips.
5. HRIS (Human Resource Information System) - This functions as a database where all employee data records are stored.
While there are more services available, the above are the ones I am familiar with. I am not an expert in HR and am still learning. Cheers!
