For protecting the interest of employees, the Central Government is taking various steps in the organized sector against events of sickness, maternity, disablement, or death due to injury at employment, etc. The Government of India has notified many enactments for taking care of the health of the working people, out of which the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948, is one of the most important Acts.
